Analytical Psychology, originated by Carl Gustav Jung, operates on the understanding that the human psyche extends far beyond the personal consciousness. It acknowledges the existence of a Collective Unconscious—a deep reservoir of universal images and motifs we call Archetypes.
"Individuation means becoming an 'in-dividual,' and, in so far as 'individuality' embraces our innermost, last, and incomparable uniqueness, it also implies becoming one’s own self."
At the heart of Jungian work is the process of Individuation. This is a lifelong journey toward self-realization and wholeness, where we learn to integrate the various aspects of our personality—including the shadow—into a harmonious whole.
In clinical practice, we utilize dreams, active imagination, and creative expression to engage in a dialogue with the unconscious. The goal is not merely the alleviation of symptoms, but the discovery of the underlying symbolic meaning and the potential for psychological growth.
